Competent and knowledgeable…

"I've used Bill for many years, from my days with an upright, to my current Steinway. He is very competent and knowledgeable. He likes to talk - if you don't like it, just leave the room. He charges by the job - not the time, so you are not paying to hear his stories (which I usually listen to and find interesting). It is important to understand that if you have a piano that is grossly out of tune and condition, a single visit will not fix the piano - a followup visit is necessary. In general (not always), I find those who complain about competent people, are people who are ignorant (not stupid - we are all ignorant about a whole range of issues)."
